Our Award-Winning Team

From Humble Beginnings to a Community-Focused Leader

Our Story

Since 1998, Lyons has been a proud cornerstone of Kamloops and Western Canada. What started as a single pick-up truck has grown into a thriving, award-winning year-round service provider, thanks to the vision and dedication of founder Colin Lyons. For over 20 years, our commitment to excellence and passion for the community have fueled our growth and success.

At Lyons, we’re more than just a landscaping company — we’re a part of this community. We’re honored to lead and participate in impactful fundraising and community-building projects, such as the annual Lyons Fireworks Night, the Grow-a-Row community gardens, and the Heart and Stroke Big Bike ride. These initiatives allow us to give back, strengthen local connections, and contribute to the well-being of our neighbors.

Today, Lyons is proud to employ over 100 dedicated team members during peak season, including experts in design, installation, a fully licensed garden center, and a technology-driven snow removal division. Every step of our journey has been about creating a company that not only serves the people of Kamloops but is deeply invested in making a positive difference.

We invite you to join us on this journey — whether you’re looking to create your dream outdoor space or simply be part of a community that values hard work, service, and giving back.

Our Clients Say

We sit home and talk about the fabulous service we always receive from Lyons Landscaping, but today I decided to drive here and tell Colin Lyons how wonderful they all are in person. We will continue to use Lyons for everything. Thank you!

I want to extend a huge thank you to you and all of your staff. With the 80 businesses that you take care of I must say I couldn’t believe how well you looked after us during this last snow storm. I am always the first one here in the morning and your staff are always a welcome site as well as pleasant. Thank you again for top notch service.

Richard from Lyons came out to look at my project. Right off the bat he was enthusiastic and eager to collaborate with me to come to a plan that would work with the area I was looking at. Shortly after his visit I received a detailed quote covering everything we discussed, which I accepted. Next I met with Mike my Project Manager. I can't say enough good things about him. Very professional, knowledgeable, and meticulous. The way he mentored his crew and attention to detail was exemplary. Mike was also always ready to deal with any issues that came up with sound advice and real solutions that would last. Lastly was a great crew that always showed up on time, worked extremely hard and cared about doing the job right. Overall a very good experience and would definitely recommend.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lyons did a fantastic job providing a full range of landscaping services for our new home north of Kamloops. The Lyons team widened our driveway, designed and planted several major sections of our unfinished yard, installed drainage for our gutters, pathway lighting, and irrigation. They were able to start earlier given our ideal timing and completed the job on time and on budget. Their commitment to quality was clear throughout the whole project from concept, estimation, materials selection, through to installation. And everything is growing nicely! Great value, all under one team.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Lyons has an awesome team. They xeriscaped our yard. They have an imagination that is far beyond what we may have conjured up for our yard design. The crew was polite and accommodating with all our wishes. We are happy with the results more than words can convey. If you want the best hire the best. We are over the moon. Peter and JoAnn Mahaits.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We hired a landscape designer from Lyons who was wonderful and set up our front perennial garden to be low maintenance, yet still varied and appealing. All the plants are thriving and beautiful - we love how easy maintenance it is.
